Book this 30-minute bus ride between Aguas Calientes (the town where the train arrives) and the entrance to the Machu Picchu citadel. This bus service is the perfect alternative to the strenuous 1.5-hour uphill walk from Aguas Calientes to the citadel’s entrance. Buses depart every 10 minutes.
🎟️ Book your Train Tickets
To ensure you don't miss out, it is highly recommended to book your train tickets now, as they tend to sell out quickly due to the high number of visitors.
You can choose a journey to Machu Picchu starting from Cusco if you arrive there by air or land, or from Ollantaytambo, which is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cusco, if you travel independently to this train station in the Sacred Valley.
